Preparing the way in Malawi

Hey yall!
Well after about a weeks rest and prep. on the base, Zach is back out preparing the way for the Lord. He's in a country called Malawi which is being hugged by Zambia and Mozambique. A couple that has been serving as staff on the base invited him to do a recon mission with the Overland team. Basically, a recon mission is a very unpredictable pioneering mission where they will be breaking new ground and paving a way for future teams of missionaries.

So some details on Malawi:
He left the 29th of July and won't be returning to base until the 27th of Aug. (which is 4 days before he returns home to America!)
They had an all night drive to Lusaka (capital of Zambia) where they stayed a night, then they were driving all the next day to Malawi.
Their contact is a Pastor named Isaac. They will basically be serving him and just following under his leadership to get what they need done.
The team members are: Zach, Aaron, Jenn, Jessica, Jess and Joy.
Also the last leg of the trip they are going be in a Muslim area.
Zach will be out of contact for this entire month.

Zach is asking for prayer for:
anxiety, perseverance, protection, quickened spirits (for action in unpredictable situations), to know the joy of the Lord in its fullness, for the Lord to bring freedom, desperation, brokeness, constant communion with the Father, deeper revelation of His love, continue maturing in spiritual giftings, boldness, confidence, strength, focus, leadership in team intercession, vision and clarity, and finishing strong/ giving 100% to the end.
He feels that this next month is going to be very challenging and is going to require everything he has, so just pray into that.

BUT PRAISE THAT WE SERVE THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE!!!

" ...I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." -Isaiah 43:19

This will probably be the last post for a while until Zach comes back and is able to share all the awesome things the Lord did, unless I hear or feel led to update yall with anything to pray for.

Post from Zach himself!

WOOO!!!!
Well, hello everyone!! This is zach. Just wanted to give you an update on what is going on over here in the beautiful country of Zambia, and wanted to fill you in on what is happening in my life.
First off, I want to give a big thank you to my lady Mallory, for being the most supportive and encouraging woman ever, and she has been updating this from the e-mails I sent her. So thank you love!
Now, to fill everyone else in. I have spent the past 3 weeks traveling around the country of Zambia, sharing the deep love of our saviour Jesus Christ with beautiful people who have never heard his message before. We went into 3 different villages: The first was named Kambulu, the second was Canchela, and the third was Sibuto.
The first village took about 6 hours to drive too. While we were there, we would do door to door evangelism during the day, and have meetings with the villages during the night. People would welcome us into their homes, and we would encourage them in their faith, answer questions they had, or pray for healings.
The second village we went too, Canchela, was about an 8 hour drive. There were a few churches established in this area. One was a church of Christ, which we were invited to speak at. I shared a message with them from Hebrews 12, and talked about Gods love and how He treats and views us as His sons. The second Church was a Zionist church, which isn’t really a church. It is actually a cult. Now, for us to even be welcomed in there was an act of God, because they are such a tight cult. They believe in a lot of works from witch doctors and ancestral worship. But the Lord gave us an opportunity to speak, we ran with it, and we saw an AMAZING breakthrough. Strongholds were broken, and the Bishop realized how wrong the theories and teachings were, so he was calling a meeting in a few days to straighten everything out. PRAISE THE LORD!!
The third village, Sibuto, was an 11 hour drive. We literally had to make our own roads to get to this place. This was the most challenging village, but the most rewarding. We were the FIRST visitors to ever enter this village. We would walk up to children, and they would run away screaming because they had never seen white people before. The adults were also scared because they had no idea why we were there.
The people of this village had only heard the gospel one time in their lives, and it was through the Pastor we were with, Pastor George. So we called a meeting the first night we were there, and shared some testimonies of the Lords goodness with them. Then I got up to preach the Gospel to them. At the end, 20 people came forward to receive the Lord, which is amazing, but that’s not even the best part. So while I was talking, there was this one man who was just receiving EVERY word I was saying. He came forward and the Lord told me to pray influence over him, and to pray into his heart to get a church started in the area. Well, after we were done playing, he went up to pastor George and said that they needed a church in the area. So the Lord used us to plant a church!! PRAISE HIM!!!! He is soo faithful and so amazing!!! Its so incredible to think that before this time, there was a people who some had NEVER heard the name of Jesus Christ, and now there is a church there!!
The second night was amazing too, because we shared another message with them. At the end people went up and were trading their witch doctor beads (which they believe to bring protection and healing), to receive the Lord. The awesome thing was that a girl on our team had a dream from the Lord that this was going to happen. So it was just amazing to see that come!!
As for now, I am serving on the base in Livingstone, and getting ready for the next adventure! I will fill you in on what this is as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your support!! This would not be possible without you, and know your prayers are felt EVERYDAY!! Much love!!

Man Jesus is AWESOME. update!

He just got back from 2 villages and I'll just share with you a bit of what hes said so you can join in praises and prayers.

"so, this has been one of the most challenging things of my life. i
have been going through the most intense time of spiritual warfare out
here. it is amazing though, because the Lord is just speaking to me so
much through it. just continue to pray for stregnth. so its tough and hard and challenging, but sooo, SO
AMAZING and incredible and transforming. i dont even know how to
explain to you how incredible it is here. i dont even know where to
start!! we went to 2 different villages, one of which NEVER had any
visitors before. strongholds were broken, the sick were healed,
spirits of oppression and religion and deception were broken, demons
casted out. His truth is taking hold. JESUS IS REAL!! and He is
AMAZING!! and I LOVE HIM!!"

PRAISE JESUS!

Ok so now he is leaving for his next mission. He will be gone from the
15th until the 18th (July)
Some details:
They are going inot an area with a pastor named george to plant a
church. George is the only one ever to share the gospel in this area.
So they will be doing a lot of evangelism alot of door to door.
He said pray for perseverance, sensitivity to his spirit, deeper
knowledge of his love.
His team changed hes now leading: amythst, paige, natalie and jaime. (so continue to pray for leadership and team unity, that his team would minister in love showing a reflection of Jesus Christ to all they encounter.)

thats all for now but Ill keep you all posted for sure.

Zachs really in Zambia now!

Hey family,
well i got an email from zach about 5 days ago and he has made it there safely. PRAISE THE LORD! He didnt have much time to write because he was leaving for his first village the next morning. But he says that he absolutely loves it out there, and he did give some prayer requests.

So here are some details about the first village he will be visiting:
The village name is Makatutoni.
They are the first missionary team to ever go to the village
they have huge strongholds of ancestral worship, and the ones that have heard of Christ have completly wrong views. so pray that these strongholds would be broken and the the love of Christ and His message would spread and their souls would BLAZE!! that new, vibrant churches would be raised out of these villages, the sick would be healed, and that the team would walk in the fullness God has called them too.
They will be in this village for 8 days.
Zachs team was so big that that had to split up into 5 teams of 5. Zach was chosen to lead his team.

So prayer requests:
leadership, that he would stay humble and open to the spirit to lead him and his team, insecurities, and that pride wouldnt arise. His team member names are Maree, Catherine, Rebecca, and Yana.

That's all for now, he or I should be updating this in a couple of days when he returns to the base, if he can get access to a computer.

Thank you all again for your prayer and support, I know Zach is blessed all the way to Zambia and back.
